Primitive Ghost Make Do

BOO!
I just love how prim and spooky this Ghost make do turned out. He was made by me using a Tennesseeridge Primitives pattern. The Ghost is mounted on an old beehive bobbin. He is 18" tall and 14" wide. The body is made from stained muslin. The overlay is two layers of grungy stained cheesecloth. The arms are sticks from my yard. He has three spiders, and a crow friend. They are made from stained and color washed muslin. Rusty safety pins make his chain.
He would make quite a conversation piece this Halloween!

Primitive Candy Corn Door Hanger

This is going to be very hard to part with. I love how it turned out. The candy corn hanger and crows are made from muslin. They have been painted and stained, and sprinkled with my favorite spice mixture. There are bits of dried moss and preserved sweet annie along the top with some dried puka pods. I added a prim paper sign on the front secured with rusty safety pins. The Hanger is approximately 7" x 13" at it's largest points. It's a perfect size to hang on the Door of your house or a cabinet, cupboard, or wall.

Primitive Jack-o-lantern Shelf Sitter

This cute little pumpkin Jack-O-Lantern ornie will make the perfect little Halloween decoration.
It's only 6" x 6" and can be tucked in many places.
He is firmly stuffed and weighted to sit. The face pieces are all hand stitched on, including his tiny bead eyes. I painted the stem brown, and used that color to lightly highlight the features. . I added a green leaft that is fastened to the pumpkin with a rusty safety pin.
I will be adding more Halloween items as time goes on.

Primitive Patriotic Bear

hanks for stopping by. I just finished making this Bear using a Sweet Meadows Farm Pattern. The bear was made from tan plush felt. He sits 13" tall, not counting the 4 " for his hat.
After I sewed and firmly stuffed him, I hand sewed the ears, nose, arms and legs on. The arms and legs can move.
His nose was handstitched, and the eyes are little beads.
When he was complete I stained him to look old.
The flag is my own design. It is completley handstitched. I sewed it to a stick from my yard, then stained and baked it. The flag is 5 1/2" x 7" on a 14" stick.
The hat is made from paper and pinned to his head. He wears a grunged homespun bow at his neck.
